As part of its commitment to social responsibility, the Silk Road Group chose to work towards the main directions – Sport, Charity, and Culture. In the field of sport, we are actively involved in supporting the Georgian Ski Federation. As for culture, we took on the responsibility of supporting the development of the Palace of Alexander Chavchavadze and the surrounding botanical garden, both located in Tsinandali, the center of the wine growing region of Kakheti. SRG has invested in the reconstruction and the restoration of the museum, as a result of which the site has been restored to its original value. It is now considered one of the main cultural hubs, and serves as a convenient place for various events such as exhibitions, concerts and master classes. In addition, the Tsinandali wine school has been established with the support of SRG, which aims to increase the level of education among the young generation. We have also founded a non-profit organization – Tsinandali Festival. The primary focus is on promoting the language of music in the region, the crossroads of Europe and Asia. The Festival draws some of the greatest performers, conductors, composers, music scholars and artists from around the globe to Tsinandali. The Festival is designed to create rare opportunities for young musicians from the Caucasus and neighboring countries to explore the world of music and advance their musical education through professional seminars and master classes taught by some of the brightest names in today’s classical music industry. We have founded the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation (WWSF), whose aim is to provide comprehensively for wounded soldiers in the Georgian armed forces and their underage children, to support their new integration into civilian life as independent, valued members of society, to raise funds and to ensure the well-deserved wellbeing of our wounded warriors.
