To celebrate World Biodiversity Day on May 22, National Geographic Georgia and Silknet are hosting a photography competition in which anyone can participate.
The past year has demonstrated how easily our way of life can be impacted, preventing us from seeing friends, family, going to events, travelling, and even studying abroad. Technology has helped bridge that gap, by keeping us connected and enabling us to experience other places virtually. Now that an end to the pandemic is in sight, travel at home and to other countries gradually becomes possible again. Yourshot – “Movement and Travel – Everything Is Connected” seeks to allows you to share a shot that was taken during a trip and reflects the movement and connection to the specific place where that shot was taken.
The competition follows National Geographic Georgia’s special “Year in Pictures” edition, marking its 100th issue and documenting the global experience of a unique year.
The photo competition ends on May 22 when an exhibition and awards ceremony for the winners will be held. Both new and recent footage taken during the competition will be accepted for the competition.
Silknet has been a proud sponsor of the Georgian-language National Geographic magazine since its inception in 2012.
