Alex Topuria is a board member of Silk Road Group, having joined the Group in 1998. Alex’s experience spans the Caucasian, Caspian and Central Asian regions, where he initiated development of new transportation routes and logistics solutions. Prior to joining SRG he founded MediCopy, an advertisement agency and print shop, introducing digital technologies to the Georgian market. Passionate about the development of youth football in Georgia, Alex established a football academy in the suburbs of Tbilisi. He studied Economics and Geography at Tbilisi State University, German language at the Goethe Institute, Iserlohn, Germany and advanced studies in Economics and Business Management at the Witten/Herdecke University, Germany. Alex is a member of the Board of National Geographic Georgia.
